sci-ma exhibit —–>> first day

The first day of exhibit was not that exhausting. The first school came at around 11 am. The next school was San Lorenzo. I really hate their male students. They kept asking some silly questions like, do you have a bf? or what is your phone number? and the worst is, how much do you cost?… They’re so irritating, thank God, they only stayed for 20 minutes. When a JP said that the next school would be Marie Earnestine, we were nervous, cause you know… Earnestinians are POSH. But, when they started playing our games, they were so friendly and fun to be with. There was this guy named Sean Paul. He was handsome [Carla said], smart, he wore eyeglasses and he’s so silent… he looked like Harry Potter :) cute… cute… cute… For the first time, I saw Jed Joven, gwapo xad ;) He was handsome but bisdak kaayu :) I also saw Archibald, he’s so formal…

After the exhibit, we counted our earnings and chatted for almost an hour :)

card day :(

Our report cards were given on September 15. I hate that day! In the morning, our adviser told us that there were many students who only have 4 grades. And guess what? Edward, who is 1st in rank, has failed one subject. It was his first time. I think, the teachers should reflect their attitude towards teaching. They’re always telling us that the quizzes and the periodical tests were very easy, which is not. I really hate our geometry teacher. He does magic with our grades. A 4th year student said that his grading system is according to beauty. Hahaha, he’s really insane! HE’S THE WORST TEACHER EVER!

In the afternoon, at 4:45, my mother arrived. We got my report card. I was so sad. I only passed 5 subjects. My mom needs to sign the pink card. It’s an agreement, if I can’t cope up with my grades during the 2nd grading, I will be advised to transfer :(   At least wa ko kasab-i ni mama and papa :) They only told me that all I need is focus…

My Fair Lady

Bonjour!

We really had a great time yesterday… When I reached school, everyone were so excited to watch the play entitled “My Fair Lady”. It was also my first time to ride on a ferry boat with my classmates.

At first, we were nervous :) . We thought that the boat would sink because most of the passengers were sitting at the right side. When we arrive at the pier of Mandaue, it was already 10:05. We knew that we can’t watch the first batch so we decided to join the second batch :( … and so we waited…

While waiting, we had lunch at JOLIBEE!

The play started at 12:30. It was about a young girl, Eliza, who doesn’t know how to speak English clearly. She’s always eating her words. Then, there was a man, professor Higgins, who trained Eliza. Higgins fell in love with Eliza, but unfortunately she has another love, Freddy… and… OMG! they kissed!

The ending was tragic for Higgins. After the play, we immediately went to SM. Guess what? We saw something… :) SECRET… SECRET… SECRET… :p …. Then, we went to Story Land to play :) We played this game called PISO GAME…

~and that ends my happy day :) ~

journalism——->>> boring

Today, we had our School Press Conference held at STEC ICT Lab. The speakers were so boring. Lucky for us 3rd years, who were sitting behind the computers. We were covered by the huge computer tables, that is why, while the speaker is speaking, we can talk whenever we want to. The topic in feature writing was a little bit difficult – The Family as an Object of the Devil’s Destruction. What I wrote in my article was about my experience when I was in fourth grade. As I tried to escape my problems, I wasn’t thinking about the people around me who were also suffering because of me. Oh well! Forget about the past and face the future. Umm… future??? Ugh! Hate it! On monday will be our CARD DAY (doom’s day). I’m pretty sure that I’ll have a very clean card. If not clean, it may be a bloody card. As we were talking about our grades, a classmate of mine opened a topic. She said that there will only be 10 students who can proceed to fourth year. 7 of 10 students were sure that they can continue studying until fourth year. The remaining 3 were given a chance.

What can I say??? This is it! Face the truth, even if it hurts. I’m really sure that I’m one of those 9 students who will leave STEC…

…so… UNSA NA SCHOOL ANG MUDAWAT NAKO??? DIRA NA LANG KO MAG FOURTH YEAR BIH! :)

sci-ma opening

sci-ma openingYesterday, 09-08-09, was our Sci-Ma Opening. suppose to be, we’ll have no class because it’s Mama Mary’s Birthday at Marigondon Parish. When I arrived at school, I was very confident of going home thinking that no teacher will come, unfortunately 4 of them arrived. The first thing we did was planting the seedlings that we brought for the “Kahoy Festival”. Together with my groupmates we planted a mango seedling. After planting we had a break in preparation for the presentation of poems & games. The poem we made was so funny. The poem was mixed Visayan and English language. Here it goes:

“Together let us find a way to help humankind”
I once planted a small tree
and I wish it could grow big like me
I would give care by watering it
so that I could be proud of it.
When it grows so big
Bisan og tikig
I would take care of it
Para di masakit
Ug sa dihang nahunahunaan nakong putlon ning kahuya
Gi punggan man ako sa akong konsensya
Till death do us part kining among friendship
Bisan mulubog man ang SupperFerry Ship
Then I would say to my friend,
“Hey, I have a strong tree, you cannot bend!”

As Sha2x, Baban, Ling & Dan were making actions while reciting the poem, everyone was laughing :) We also had some Sci-Ma games in the morning. It was tiring yet so fun. We also made a Table of Elements in front of the ICT lab. Unfortunately our group haven’t finished filling in the empty squares with the elements. As the clock strikes at 12:30, we took our lunch. The canteen was closed so we ate outside. In the afternoon, first thing we did was joining the contests like slogan making, poster making & creative writing. After these contests, we had a film showing. The movie was entitled “Cube Zero”.  When they said that the movie genre was horror, I immediately sleep. Honestly, I am very scared of horror movies. :)

~ And so, my day ends there… that’s all people…  see yah ~ :)
